Join us for guided, nature connection & forest bathing exercises in the tranquil, mountain forest around the Starhouse above Boulder, CO. Led by instructors from Earth Based Institute, these exercises partner with the wisdom of the forest for inspiration, relaxation and a deepened connection to self, community and nature.
Forest bathing (shinrin-yoku) is a Japanese practice of engaging all the elements of the forest with an openness of the five senses. This serves to calm the body and mind. Recent studies link forest bathing, or time in nature, as having very positive effects on human physiology and psychology. Some of the benefits of slowing down and breathing in the phytochemicals of the pine trees are: stress reduction, decreased inflammation, increased immune system functioning, clarity, awareness, kindness and generosity. Nature connection also reminds us of the joy of being alive and a part of a larger community of creatures and flora.
