Get certified to guide the integration of powerful experiences into lasting change.
People come back from the biggest experiences of their lives to find that nothing at home has changed, and yet everything inside of them feels different.

Actually embodying those changes takes time, attention, and someone who knows how to help translate the experience into day-to-day life.
The field has put its focus on the journey. But the journey is only one small part of what creates the change.
The work that comes after, the integration, is the gap that NBIC trains you to fill.
The Nature-Based Integration Coaching Certification (NBIC) is an 8-month, ICF-aligned training in guiding the integration of powerful experiences — psychedelic and otherwise — into lasting change.
If you're like us, you see the need for integration in more realms than just psychedelics. NBIC trains you for the whole range of expanded and transformational experiences, not only psychedelic ones.
Nature-based can be a slogan. At Earth-Based Institute, Nature is an active collaborator in the coaching process, and the practitioner's relationship with Nature rests on the understanding that our sense of wellbeing is rooted in connection with our environment. Here, that becomes a set of specific skills and tools woven through the whole program.
Four additional nature-connection courses are built into NBIC to support your coaching foundation.
Our biweekly calls often include a guided nature-connection practice, with examples and discussion you can take home and use with your own clients.
We show you how to bring nature into the integration work as a supportive ally to your clients.
An online home for our coaches and guides that keeps you connected and inspired between calls, long after certification.

Across the field, integration gets taught in offices and on video calls. Ours is grounded outdoors, in the body, and in relationship. The competency frameworks now emerging for this work name an ecological dimension. No other training actively teaches it through experiential learning.
NBIC is the only integration coaching certification built on nature-connection skills, taught by practicing guides and offering a pathway toward an ICF credential when paired with our Level 2 Nature-Connected Coaching program.

We train the preparation and the integration — the work that happens before and after an experience. Our scope is our integrity, and it is the reason clinicians and licensed facilitators can feel safe referring clients to the people we certify.
Pre-journey and post-journey integration coaching, which is legal wherever coaching is.
Our graduates do not facilitate, administer, or recommend psychedelics, and we do not train them to.
Licensed facilitators, clinics, retreat centers, and clinical providers, as the integration side of a referral relationship.
Here is the shape of it. The full syllabus has each unit in detail, the schedule, and how certification works.
Digestible video lessons designed to adapt to your schedule, anchored by biweekly live integration calls, an active community of professionals, and project-based learning and mentoring. Plus, we offer two optional in-person gatherings as an opportunity to bring the cohort together on the land.

NBIC offers an ICF-aligned curriculum, which means we hold you to the same standards laid out by the ICF Code of Ethics and Competencies, alongside the NBIC competencies. Paired with our ICF accredited Nature-Connected Coaching certification, you meet the coach-education requirement toward an ICF credential — ACC or PCC.
Schedule a call to learn moreWhen I coached prior to NBIC, I found that my psychedelic integration sessions could wander as wildly as the psychedelic journey itself! Now I understand the arc of the journey, what to look for in chaotic story, and how to guide my clients toward their inner wealth. I grew from every lesson in NBIC — each lesson offers topic-specific coaching goals and prompts, and every lesson requires practice sessions where I internalized these learnings.
And, I've reshaped my business! I now offer a high-value deep-dive helping clients unpack the arc of psychedelic growth via the mythical heroine's journey, coupled with a neuroscientific lens of learning.
Your tuition is an investment in a profession, not just a paper credential. It includes:
A full year of business mentoring, a $10,000 value. It is the support that helps you build and fill a practice, so you finish with clients, not just a certificate.
Registration begins with a $1,500 deposit, then completes one of two ways.
Graduates go on to private practice, aftercare teams at clinics and retreat centers, and adding integration to existing coaching or therapy work. We will walk you through the numbers, and the plan that fits you, on your call.
Filling out the application is your first step to assess fit.
A no-pressure, grounded conversation with our admissions team to help assess fit.
If you're accepted, we'll get you onboarded and you can begin your training right away.
No, and we will never suggest or require you to partake in psychedelics. NBIC trains you in the coaching craft of preparation for, and integration of, powerful experiences in your clients' lives. Those may include, but are not limited to, psychedelic experiences, retreats, breathwork journeys, and wilderness quests.
It can be applied to psychedelic integration, but it is not limited to that. Integration coaching matters across a wide range of transformative experiences — wilderness trips, meditation retreats, breathwork journeys, major life transitions, and more. Ultimately it is up to you as the coach to decide what type of experiences you want to help people integrate. It is important to note that this is not a guide/facilitator training for administering substances.
No. It is not therapy, and we teach you where that line sits, how to stay within your scope of practice, and how and when to refer out.
Yes, integration coaching is legal. This certification trains you to support clients in integrating transformative experiences so their new insights lead to lasting change. We are not training you to facilitate the experience itself; your client will have sought that elsewhere.
When you pair NBIC with our ICF Level 2 Nature-Connected Coaching certification, you meet the coach-education requirement toward an ICF credential — ACC or PCC — with your logged coaching hours, mentor coaching and the ICF assessment still to complete. On its own, NBIC is a professional certification grounded in the NBICS competency standards and aligned with ICF standards.
Schedule a 20-minute no-pressure meet and greet to find out if NBIC fits where you are headed, or start your application now and we'll follow up with you.
Earth-Based Institute does not approve or disapprove, suggest, advocate, or make referrals or connections to any psychedelic substances, sources, or providers. NBIC trains pre-journey and post-journey integration coaching only. Graduates do not facilitate, administer, or recommend psychedelics. The ICF Level 2 credential pathway applies when NBIC is paired with our Nature-Connected Coaching certification.
