When did you know you needed to follow the call of Nature? Did it hit you like a strike of lightning, or did it build slowly over the years, reaching back into your childhood?
People often think of Nature as a relaxing and rejuvenating place to be. And it can be, but as you know, it is also so much more.

How does Nature inspire you?
For those of us who have experienced growth and healing through our relationship with Nature, the insights we’ve gained don’t stay personal for long. It’s natural to begin feeling a pull to share that healing power of Nature with others. Are you noticing that?
When you imagine yourself inspiring nature connection in others, do you see an individual, a family, a team, a community?
A previous student put it beautifully: “I’ve held a lifelong vision of sharing nature and the wild with others to help manage life's challenges while healing and growing from those same challenges.”
If this feels familiar, you’re in the right place. Nature-Connected Living & Leadership is here to help you transform that calling into a craft.
If you have felt that pull, you have probably had the questions that ride along with it:
Valid questions, all of them. But notice how they circle. Answer one, and the next takes its place. They are circling the real question, the question that sits underneath and drives the rest:
Do I have what it takes to help someone else find this deep, transformational relationship with Nature and self?
While the doubt may circle, the calling has not gone anywhere. Is that true for you? If so, you hold a big and important vision. To allow yourself to feel how much your vision matters, and to step toward it, is couragous. And you don't need to travel that trail alone.
As another student described, he arrived here with a “deep yearning to bring people into connection with their hearts, with nature, with each other, and with their communities.”
Community is often a core component of the big vision we’re each pulled to in our own unique way. So it only makes sense that you'd explore your own inner wilderness and relationship with nature through community.
A good mountain guide has not climbed every peak.
What they know is how to read the terrain. Guiding someone into connection with nature and through their inner wilderness works the same way, and that is a craft you can learn and build upon.
Wherever you are on this path, whether you are just feeling the pull or already guiding others, this is the work of Nature-Connected Living and Leadership (NCLL): to deepen the craft and learn to lead from your connection with Nature, heart and soul.
You will learn skills for guiding others. The focus, though, is on taking you deeper into your own relationship with Nature first, so you know the terrain from the inside. From that ground, you can help others move through their own inner wilderness with more confidence.
You'll join an intimate community of like-minded individuals who feel like “your people” so you can develop the craft and deepen your connection with Nature together in a space built for learning rather than performing.
It’s okay you don’t have your vision all figured out. In fact, that’s what we’re here for! NCLL is the foundation, the ground the rest of your work will stand on. It's also the front door to the full professional training, Nature-Connected Coaching (NCC).
The method you'll experience is the same foundational method we use in NCC: Nature connection grounded in coaching tools, neuroscience, and psychology. This sets you up to return to that deep state of Nature connection on your own, again and again, without needing someone else to guide you there. And you can explain it with confidence, in language that holds up when people ask what you do.
It is also why NCLL is live, with people, rather than a download. The depth comes from practicing together, not from watching alone.
Six live sessions, Thursdays 5 to 7pm Mountain Time, July 23 through August 27.
Taught live by Michael and Sara.
Here is what a registration includes:
Six weeks of small group instruction and mentoring with people who feel the same pull to Nature that you do, so you can benefit from the collective momentum and wisdom of a group.
You build it together over six weeks, and it does not end when the calls do. Your cohort space will be preserved and kept private for your group with lifetime access, so you can find support and stay connected to a professional network of people walking the same path. This is not a bonus tacked on the side. It is an essential component to your growth and development in this work. Those who try to develop themselves in this way solo struggle significantly compared to those who stay connected in a community.
Alongside the cohort circle, you'll also have access to the full EBI community of coaches and leaders, a wider network of people doing this work at every stage of the path, so you can find mentorship, collaboration, and proof that you are on the right path.
Lifetime access to all of the Nature connection exercises taught in this program, plus additional lessons and resources in Nature connection and deep Nature awareness, coaching skills, and transformational guiding skills, so you can deepen your practice and come back to the material whenever you need it, not just during the six weeks.
Everything shared inside the group is yours to keep and return to, so you can always stay engaged and on track with your connection to Nature.
Sara came to this work the same way many of you did: inspired by her own deep relationship with Nature and feeling called to bring others into that place. That pull led her to this program. It became the foundation for everything that followed, including becoming a Nature-Connected coach and building a practice with clients who are thriving. Now she's co-teaching your cohort.

I was a burned-out public school teacher when I joined NCLL, hoping my connection with Nature would help me survive teaching through the pandemic. I was running on a fried nervous system, with a vague inkling that my real purpose was to help my community connect more deeply with Nature. The ritual practices and the like-minded community deepened my own connection with the more-than-human world in ways I didn't know were possible. And from that place, I found the clarity and confidence to create a career aligned with my purpose, passion, and values.

For Michael, Nature was the original teacher. The wilderness and adventure that shaped his life became the foundation for Earth-Based Institute and Nature-Connected Coaching. Coaching is the container that draws out the wisdom Nature awakens in people, and helps them gain insight and name what is most true for them. He is excited to share the core teachings that bring it all together.
My experience with EBI was expansive, affirming and life changing! The program provided a framework for me to step into leadership, and also provided skills to help others step into leadership for themselves. Now more than ever, the collective NEEDS leaders who operate from a place of deep nature-connection.

If you are looking for a fast credential to start charging next month, or for clinical or therapy training, this is not that.
This program is built around how the cohort grows together. You'll practice nature connection and guiding skills with others in a setting designed for learning and growth. You'll be supported to discover and claim what is true for you rather than waiting for answers to be handed down, and we'll invite you to show up fully, not from the sidelines.
This program is designed to encourage you to get out on the land during and in between our live calls, practicing Nature connection on the land where you live, in your own relationship with Nature. The cohort holds the collective experience together across distance.
Doubt doesn't disappear before you step in. It tends to move with you. The question is how you want to respond to it: another year of circling the same question, or a step that begins to answer it. The six weeks are designed for exactly that moment.
It is the foundation, priced as a foundation, and it applies in full toward NCC tuition if you continue. You are not betting the full path on six weeks. You are taking a small step forward which will bring you more clarity about if this is the right path for you.
Attend the first live session on July 23. If it's not for you, tell us by the end of the day on July 24, and we'll refund your registration in full, Core or Core+.

This work is ICF-informed and grounded in coaching tools, neuroscience, and psychology. The nature piece is the method, not mysticism. You will leave able to explain what you do and why it works, in language that holds up when people ask.
Yes, and in some ways the format is a strength. You take part from wherever you are, practicing Nature connection in your own place and your own relationship with the land. The cohort holds the collective experience together across distance, and that mix of personal place and shared practice is part of what makes it personally transformative.
Nature-Connected Coaching is our flagship, ICF-accredited coach certification. NCLL is a step toward it, and your $497 applies toward its tuition.
With the upgrade, you work one-on-one with a certified Nature-Connected Coach and experience the coaching directly. The business mentoring is hands-on and motivational, not a library to work through on your own. If you show up and go through the steps, it is built to help you launch your vision as an income stream and a practice.

You already know the moment the pull toward Nature started for you, the experience that first moved you and changed everything.
That memory is worth returning to. It is what keeps the vision louder than the doubt.
You do not have to carry your vision alone, and you do not have to have it all figured out to begin. You need a first step, a method you can trust, and a community taking the same step beside you.
That is what these six weeks are all about.
Registration opens July 15 and closes July 21 at midnight Pacific. The cohort begins July 23, six Thursdays, 5 to 7pm Mountain, with Michael and Sara.
